Amazing food. Went with family and there was something for everyone! Food was great, the meat was high quality and REALLY cooked perfectly! I mean every bite was delicious!!! Cannot recommend this place enough! If ever in the area, it is a place to visit!!!
Get the mini beef fajita tacos and add grilled pineapple. Guacamole and refried beans were very tasty. I'm not a big TexMex fan, and these dishes don't typically have a lot of those particular spices anyway--more like the BajaMex that I prefer. I also recommend the mixed beef/chicken/pineapple fajita grill. And the chips & salsa.
We stopped in for lunch, and I ordered the chicken fajita salad. It came with ranch dressing that I tried, but I didn't care for it. So I ate it with their salsa and it was so good and fresh. I know, a salad isn't a good indicator for how good a Mexican restaurant is, but if the quality of ingredients in their salad is any indication of the rest of their menu, if day it's great. The staff was nice and the service was fast.
A great place to eat and hold conversation. Food is plentiful and staff isn’t hovering over you. Get your order in and sides and avoid constantly interrupting your wait staff.
Cute location in a strip mall. Clean and spacious. Went for lunch on a Monday. Our server was attentive and nice. Food came quick. This was my first time having a Mexican restaurant steak and it was delicious and tasty. The chargrilled smokey taste was good. Baked potato and salad on the side. Had 2 margaritas and queso as well. Total for 2 80! Unbelievable prices! Will definitely recommend and return.
I took my husband here for the first time for a nice birthday dinner and the food was amazing. Everything was seasoned well and tasted fresh. I got the shrimp tacos....chef’s kiss. My husband got the mouthwatering Tomahawk steak and it was cooked to perfection with the right amount of flavor. And I forgot our waitress name but she was a delight she treated us like we were her only table. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend...
Each time I go to Hugo’s is like the first time...the food is just so good, the service extremely friendly. Today, for instance, I had the April monthly special, fish tacos...holy enchilada...I hope it becomes a regular menu item. It was savory, crunchy from both the fish and the red cabbage, fresh from the tomatoes and sauce, had a lil bite in the back of your throat from the spices. I swear I devoured the first one! And... the fish pieces were a very nice size. You also received an adequate portion of beans and rice. Hugo’s...I will be back for the fish tacos!!!
I had the grilled chicken dish. I would give it a 8.5/10. The sauce to dip the chicken in was very good and the pineapple pico was also very tasty. I also had queso and guacamole. The guacamole tasted like just about any other Mexican food restaurant’s and the queso was interesting but in a good way. If I was to stop through the Glenn heights/red oaks area again I would definitely eat here again.
